Increased Power for PHAC at Canada-US Border
Truckers are some of the few allowed to cross the Canadian US border at this time and the Canadian Trucking Alliance has reached out to let trucking companies know that their drivers can expect to undergo additional questioning at the Canadian border when entering Canada from the United States.
They can continue to expect the usual Covid19 questions around recent travel if they are experiencing any symptoms or have recently come in contact with anyone who has tested positive for the virus. The additional questions could include personal information, such as contact information to providing to public health officials. At this time the Public Health Agency of Canada is not restricted to any specific questioning, much like the Canada Border Service Agency Officers.
