How Headwater Transportation Leads
Headwater Transportation Inc. is an active member of the Alberta Motor Transport Association. The AMTA serves two purposes.
- Injury Reduction and Training (IRT) funded through the WCB Alberta industry levy. Headwater is a leader and very active on several IRT Committees including the IRT Advisory Council and the Designations Sub Committee.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (CRA). This body is funded through industry dues paid by Carrier Members.
These dues fund access to the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) The CTA is operations dominated federation of Provincial Transportation associations. Dues also support the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA). The CCMTA are the keepers of the NSC documents and control aspects of transportation administration.
CRA also funds the AMTA's annual journey to the CVSA Conference as members of Region 5 which encompass all of Canada.
Finally, Headwater Transportation is a Proud Carrier Member of Partners in Compliance - PIC. 25,500 Carriers in Alberta, 66 members in PIC.
Headwater looks forward to increased responsibility in both CRA and PIC.
